Suzuki Boulevard C109 Noise in motor

Writer's picture: James CastelliJames Castelli

When we received a phone call requesting a Mobile Mechanic in the Newcastle area, it was described to us as their bikes engine making a sound like it had a turbo?

This c109 which has many similarities to the M109R did indeed have a strange whirring sound. This sound can be cause by bad bearings, but it got worse as it was revved and was loudest on the stator side.

Going through many diagnostic procedures it was determinied it was actually an electrical issue, The stator wirings had burnt out and the regulator rectifier was no longer serviceable. With a new Regulator and Stator wiring, this Suzuki started up with the noise gone.
