Rear brake issue (solved) Suzuki Inazuma

Writer: James CastelliJames Castelli

A Suzuki Inazuma GW250 recently came into our shop with a rear brake issue—it was sticking and remaining engaged. We picked it up from Charlestown in the Newcastle area and brought it back to our Motorcycle Mechanical workshop in Thornton for a thorough inspection.

Upon investigation, we found that the master cylinder was jammed, which was causing constant pressure on the rear brake pads. When we disassembled the unit, we noticed that the brake fluid had begun to solidify, damaging the seals and leading to the sticking problem. After testing the front fluid, we confirmed our suspicions—it was in poor condition also.

To resolve the issue, we rebuilt the master cylinder using a new seal kit, replaced the old brake fluid, and bled the system to ensure optimal performance. We also refreshed the front brake fluid and conducted a comprehensive service to guarantee that the bike not only stops effectively but also runs smoothly.

Then we of course we loaded it up to drop it back to our customer.
